Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work best with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), Introverts, Empaths, Perfectionists, and Creatives who want support navigating anxiety, overwhelm, and self-exploration. This process often includes helping you manage the guilt of prioritizing self-care and setting boundaries, reducing work stress/burnout, and exploring self-doubt. In addition to addressing these issues, I also enjoy guiding folks through the deeper work of self-exploration and important life transitions.

If you're seeking short-term, directive, or CBT therapy, I would not be the right fit. You could look through Dr. Aron’s HSP-knowledgeable therapist list or the TherapyDen directory to find a therapist who would be better able to support you.

  • My approach to therapy is very empathetic and inclusive with a focus on mindfulness-based practices. I prioritize meeting you where you are while gently helping you uncover blocks to healing.

Sessions will primarily be talk therapy as I listen, reflect, validate, and offer questions for self-inquiry. Depending on your needs, I will also include a mixture of self-reflective practices such as journaling or drawing and experiential practices to support your sensitive nervous system and deep emotions.

  • I can meet with folks located anywhere in California via phone or secure video sessions. All I ask is that you’re in a private location at the time of our appointment so you can feel safe to be open and get the most out of your session.

  • Yes, unfortunately, my professional license only allows me to work with clients who are physically located in California at the time of our sessions. Dr. Aron’s HSP-knowledgeable therapist list or the TherapyDen directory are great options for finding a therapist near you.

  • For the foreseeable future, I will be meeting clients solely online. Many folks enjoy being able to have therapy at home, but I understand that this doesn’t feel best for everyone.

  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are scheduled once per week. You will have a specific day and time reserved just for you each week.

  • I meet with clients Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 11:00am-5:00pm. I do not offer later evening or weekend appointments.

  • Since I practice in-depth, relational therapy, I tend to work with clients for an average of 1-2 years, sometimes longer. The amount of time depends on the level of support you’re looking for and how deep you want to go. When starting therapy with me, I do ask that you are able to commit to weekly therapy for at least several months to receive the benefits.

  • Sometimes it sounds good on paper, but then you or I realize once the therapy starts that we’re just not the right fit for therapist and client. That’s okay! My primary goal is for you to find a therapist that will be able to best support you, so I will help you find referrals if we’re not a good match.

  • I am not an in-network provider with any insurance carrier, but you may be able to use out-of-network benefits or your HSA/FSA card. You can read more on getting reimbursed through your insurance here.

The TherapyDen directory is a great place to search for therapists who take your insurance.

  • Currently, my fee is $200 per 50-minute session. You can read more on my fees and payment options here.

  • At this time, my sliding scale spots are full. Open Path Collective is a good resource for finding therapists with sliding scale availability.

  • My practice is focused on working with adults only. Working with kids, teens, and couples each requires a certain skill set and training that I don’t have the capacity to pursue.
